Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's 21 championships have been earned on hard surfaces
A comeback Medvedev secured his maiden championship for nearly 30 months with success over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament championship match.
The Russian, a former number one, has had a challenging season, managing just one win at the Grand Slams and suffering a setback at the New York tournament.
His unpredictability on the tennis tour - and struggles with his serve in specific - caused him dropping out of the top ten and ultimately separating with former trainer his previous coach.
Currently working with Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily progressed in the recent weeks - culminating in a closely contested competitive win over opponent Corentin Moutet.
This represents his initial title after the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hardcourt since that period of that year.
Victory also signifies Medvedev has achieved twenty-one championships at twenty-one various competitions.
"For the first time I am participating in a tournament with my two daughters together, so to get a trophy is especially meaningful," said ranked player the champion.
"This title is in dedication of my child my daughter, because the first title I achieved when my first daughter her name was born was for her."
Medvedev, the former major winner, had lost his last six finals, including in Halle earlier this year.
The player's counter-punching play style and recurring emotional displays on court had caused commentators to wonder if his skill to play at the elite level was concluded.
However the 29-year-old has made changes in recent weeks, attempting to approach the net and compete assertively, backed up by an better service.
He came back from a disadvantage in the opening set against the challenging opponent, taking 4 of the final five points to gain the advantage.
The competitors swapped breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, attempting for his initial tour title, gained dominance to force a decider.
The opponent defended four initial break points in a competitive deciding set before Medvedev broke to that score to secure the win.
Fittingly, the winner clinched the title with a rally at the front of the court, with Moutet failing to control a volley after a lengthy match.
